Winter treks 2023 - 2024

(November - March)

Some treks can be made in rainy season (November - March), in the Cordillera Blanca, specially those that take less than one week. Make a trek during those months is not easy, because the weather; sometimes it could be complete cloud, raining and/or snowing, but suddenly the clouds disappear and you see the mountains covered with fresh snow and the hills completely green, it is worth the sacrifice.

If you want to make one of these treks, you must to come prepared for rainy and snowy days; and strongly we recommend to walk in the morning, in that way you would arrive to the campsite around noon, usually it rains after noon. Among the circuis we recomment in winter season are

Rurec Shaqsha trek (4 days)

• his trekking circuit is relatively new, it makes more interesting because only few people make it, making this tour we can see the flora as well as the wild animals such as condors, vicuñas, Andean deer, viscachas, fox, ducks, Etc...

Santa Cruz trek (4 days)

Without doubt it is one of the most popular trekking routes  in the Cordillera Blanca, Peruvian Andes; making this circuit you will have an unforgettable experience, because you will see almost all the most important Peruvian peaks in few days, many lakes and rivers...

Olleros Chavin trek (3 days)

This trekking route is made until nowadays  by the same footpath where the Chavin people walked. Chavin culture is considered as the mother culture of Peruvian cultures, even of the Incas. The route is generally made using the Llamas also the ancient mean of transportation...
